Parenting Coordination

When parents are struggling to resolve parenting disputes, have difficulty with communication, need assistance in interpreting existing court orders or simply have high conflict while navigating day-to-day parenting issues, a Parenting Coordinator (PC) can provide the necessary assistance to resolve these issues.

Parenting Coordinators can be appointed by a Judge or by an agreement of the parties. A PC is usually a mental health professional or a family law attorney with additional training and experience needed to address the issues facing high conflict situations. Rather than constantly resorting to the court for solutions, a parenting coordinator can assist with conflict resolution instead in a more timely and cost effective manner.

A PC will not only meet with each parent and the children, but will also work with both parents on a regular basis to address ongoing issues and provide important educational resources for the parents in an effort to impart the necessary skills to address any ongoing issues without the assistance of a third party.

Marsha Hackenberg and Jennifer Matteucci will work with you to:

  • Improve Communication and develop communication methods that will ease conflict and improve co-parenting success
  • Help create and establish boundaries
  • Improve parenting time transitions
  • Educate parents on developmentally appropriate communication with the children
  • Assist the parents to learn how to navigate day to day parenting issues

Free Consultation

If you believe that a PC may be able to help you and your co-parent reduce conflict and improve communication, please do not hesitate to contact the office to set up a free consultation.
