Hamilton County Mediators, believes in the value and success of mediation, especially in family law matters. Mediation can be an expensive process, though it is typically far cheaper than a hearing and the cost of hearing preparation. In order to assist low income families seeking mediation, Hamilton County Mediators offers a low cost or Modest Means Mediation Program. Accommodations for those with Protective or No Contact Orders will be made as needed.
Parenting Coordination provides timely conflict resolution for co-parents having difficulty with communication, interpreting court orders, or navigating day-to-day parenting issues. Parenting Coordinators typically work with high conflict parties to help reduce conflict, educate the parents to communicate better and remain focused on the needs of the children. Parenting Coordinators provide a much needed role in the area of family law. In order to ensure that this service is available to all, even those with limited financial ability, HCM offers reduced fee Parenting Coordination Services as well.
Available for those whose income is less than 200% of the Federal Poverty Level. In order to apply for this program, each party must complete a Financial Declaration form and provide copies of your last six paystubs. Once approved for the program, each party will receive an introduction packet which will outline what each party will need in order to complete the mediation process or move forward successfully with the parenting coordinator (PC).
The Cost for mediation or Parenting Coordination under the Modest Means Mediation Program is $100 per hour, to be split equally between the parties. A retainer of $300 is required for mediation and a retainer of $500 per parent is required for Parenting Coordination.
